Create, Edit and Present for Clients

The Asset-Map page of the Household is intended to be a workspace and a presentation page. Here is an overview and below is a list of features that will help you create, edit and educate a client in Asset-Map.

Members Bar

  • Household member and entity name tags are clickable in the Members bar

  • The Members bar allows you to change the member(s) on the map with their financials.

  • The Members bar allows you to combine financials of multiple members.

  • The sums of the financials of the Members selected is calculated and displayed.

  • Use the Members bar to create Layouts (different views of the household that are saved and optionally printable).

Search and Select Tool (CTRL+SHIFT+s)

This is a tool that provides functions to be applied to multiple tiles at once.

Actions Menu

  • Apply financials to the current map

  • Add members or entities to the current map

  • Create a PDF of the current map

  • Apply a Stencil

  • Share with an Advisor/Work Partner in your organization

  • Create a Target-Map goal for the household

  • Create a Layout - rearrange the members on the map and save

  • Create a Draft to help envision what changes to the map could look like

  • Toggle Visibility of a variety of items

Right Click (Command + Click) Actions Menu

Using your mouse directly on the map you can open a modified Actions Menu as well.

Sidebar

Keep the client's Asset-Map in view while editing financials on the fly in Sidebar. Additional Sidebar features will be made available as new modules are implemented.

To enable Sidebar for your account: right-click (command-click) on the client Asset-Map, then click Toggle Visibility, then Sidebar.

Tile Groups and Calculations

Financials are grouped by type on a map and are strategically positioned to help facility a conversation around the intentionality and appropriateness of those financial decisions.

  • Insurances and protections over a couple

  • Joint assets and liabilities under a couple

  • Cash flows (light blue border, rounded corners)

  • Non-retirement assets (green border)

  • Retirement assets (red border)

  • Annuity assets (dashed line if Deferred Annuity box is checked on edit window)

  • Liability (orange border)

  • Current cash flows sum value near the avatar

  • Current assets sum value near the avatar

  • Joint assets and liabilities sum value near the avatars

For clarity, a Legend is supplied at the bottom of the map.

Edit Data on Financial Tiles and Avatars

  • Data of members and financials can be viewed and edited by clicking a member's avatar or the financial tile.

  • Use the tabs at the top of each edit window to provide greater detail, some of which is searchable in your Household Index.

  • Notes entered on the Notes tab can be viewed on the Household's Reports page and can optionally be included in a comprehensive report.

  • Share a household map online with your clients.

  • If the financial instrument or member is linked to an integration, an integration tab will be available to delve deeper into their information provided by the integration.

Top Page Border Tools

This menu appears atop every page in the platform.

  • While viewing a household, click the household name to access its Summary Page quickly

  • Click to turn on/off your Marker for drawing during presentations

  • Check your system notifications for messages about Discovery, Subadvisor Assignment, and Questionnaires.

  • Search for a household by typing in last name, first name, city, or most other household information if entered.

  • Click the Asset-Map logo or your custom to return to the Dashboard anytime.

  • Add a household

  • Access your Household Index

  • Edit your platform preferences, provide referrals or feedback, access the Support Center, or log out of Asset-Map Platform.
