Overview
Asset-Map Marker is a collaboration and illustration tool. Use the Marker tool:
To enhance your client meetings, either in the office or remotely.
In training meetings with other advisors;
For seminars and group client meetings.
Usage
Click the Marker icon or use keyboard shortcuts to start drawing on any Asset-Map page (Asset-Map, Target-Maps™, Household Index, Home page, etc.), or use keyboard shortcuts.
Use Keyboard Shortcuts
ctrl+m or ctrl+` - toggles the use of the marker tool (defaults to black marker)
Accessible everywhere in app but not client portal
While in Marker mode, ctrl is not needed for the following hotkeys.
r - switches to the red marker
Only accessible when drawing mode is enabled
b - switches to the black marker
Only accessible when drawing mode is enabled
c - switches to the custom color marker
Only accessible when drawing mode is enabled
s or e - switches to select tool
Only accessible when drawing mode is enabled
p - opens the color picker palette
Only accessible when drawing mode is enabled
u - undo functionality
Only accessible when drawing mode is enabled
backspace or del or delete - delete selected drawing
Only accessible when drawing mode is enabled
d or t or x or esc or escape - exiting drawing mode
Only accessible when drawing mode is enabled
Use the Mouse
Click the marker icon to reveal (or hide) our sketching tools with which you can illustrate your points for your clients right on their Asset-Map.
It includes:
trash can tool to remove all markups.
three brush colors: red, black, and optional
brush color picker
mark selector: Choose the cross icon to select and move markups. Click the mark and drag it to the desired location. Click corners to enlarge or reduce the size of the marking. Select a mark and click the delete key on your keyboard to remove the specific mark.
Print out marked Asset-Maps by using the print screen function on your device.
Markings will not be included on Reports generated by Asset-Map Platform.

Q. Does Marker work on an IOS device?
A. Yes! Apple touch screen devices work with Marker including Apple Pencil. Keep the zoom level to 0%. Don't use the zoom-in function of your browser.
Q. Does the Marker work on a Windows device?
A. This depends on your version of Windows and you'll have to test this. Generally, yes with your Mouse and finger. No, with a Microsoft touch screen device (such as a Surface Pen). The MS Pen will unfortunately not work at this time.
Q. Why doesn't Marker work for me?
A. Most of the time it is because the zoom level is zoomed in. Close the Marker (click the "x"). Then set your browser zoom level to 100% and refresh the page. Click the Marker icon and start drawing.
Q. Can I print my markups?
A. Only if you take a screenshot. (Be aware of any compliance considerations before doing this.)
Q. How can I delete one mark instead of all of them?
A. Open the Marker toolbar. Choose the selector icon (crossroads icon or "s" or "e" keyboard shortcut). Click on the desired mark to remove and depress the Delete key on your keyboard.
