Clients cannot edit their Asset-Map because the advisor oversees the client's household in the Asset-Map Platform. However, Client Portal Suggest Mode enables clients to suggest modifications to their maps. Advisors are notified of these suggestions and can decide whether to accept or delay their implementation. This process facilitates communication regarding any changes in the client's financial situation, ensuring that the advisor is not caught off guard.
Please note: Client Suggest/Client Portal availability may be dependent upon the policies of your organization.

Generate the Suggesting Client Portal Invitation Link
Select the Asset-Map Report: Suggesting permission set titled from the Permission set drop-down menu.
Updating an Existing Invitation Link
For an active client portal user, you can update the permission set to “Asset-Map Report: Suggesting." To do this, go to the member edit window on the client portal tab and adjust the permission set. Please note that the Suggesting mode only includes the Asset-Map Report.
Advisor Notifications
You will be notified when changes are requested through in-app and email notifications. Notifications can be turned on or off from your User Preferences page. A notification could contain a batch of suggested changes that the financial professional will view and accept or delay/deny.
The platform will notify you of any pending suggestions when you access the household.
Processing Client Suggestions
Open the household and click “View Changes” to be taken into a Draft mode where you can accept or reject the requested changes. Not familiar with Drafts? To learn more about the Drafts feature, please click here.
Commit or Reject a Suggestion
Clicking a modified item opens its Drafts tab for processing. A description displaying what the suggestion is, when the suggestion was made, and an option to either reject or commit changes to the client’s map are available. Committing changes will change the client’s map for both the FP and what is displayed on the client’s portal.
The FP could decide to revisit the change later by closing the interface should the financial professional want to contact the client prior to performing any option if further discussion is needed.
Exit Suggestion Mode
Click the X in the bottom right corner to exit the Client Portal Suggestion Mode.
Re-enter Suggestion Mode
A Draft is automatically saved for later viewing. The FP may access the saved draft by opening the Draft interface in the usual way and selecting the Client Portal Suggest option.
Processing More Client Updates
If the client wishes more changes, the Client Portal Suggest draft will include all unprocessed suggested changes in the advisor’s Draft interface.
Client Experience
The client suggesting permission will provide the client an interface with the following elements: a black toolbar titled “You’re Suggesting” with options to add elements to their map. It also provides an option to Hide Changes to view their current map without their suggestions.
The Learn More link will send them to a support page on how to use the interface if needed.
The toolbar will be present at every client portal log-in unless the FP assigns a different permission set.
Add/Delete/Edit Elements
The client will have the option to add new elements using their toolbar.
They can also click on current financials or members and make edits or request to delete.
Suggestions Display for the Client
Elements with suggested changes will be rose-colored and reflect an icon representing the desired change.
When a change is saved (Update), a new tab becomes available called “Drafts.” The client may undo their suggestion from this tab.
