How do Clients set up their Client Portal Access?

  1. Email the Client Portal Link: Send the client the link to the client portal using one of the provided email templates located here.

  2. Client Clicks the Link: Instruct the client to click the link you sent to start the process of creating their login.

  3. Create Username and Password: The client should create a unique username and a secure password.

  4. Log Into the System: The instructions direct the client to log into the system using their newly created username and password.

  5. Save the Information: Advise the client to keep the email containing the link or bookmark it for easy access in the future.

  6. Final step: Upon log-in a question appears asking the client to accept the household that was shared to them. Clicking Accept allows them to view the household that was shared. Clicking Reject still establishes their login, but does not permit them to view the household that the advisor shared.

What if a client does not see their household?

If a client cannot see their household, it is likely because they did not click Accept in the Client Portal Invite box. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  • Advisor: click the link share icon and copy the link. Navigate to the Client Portal administration page for the household.

    • Click the client's household name in the upper right area.

    • Click "Edit" next to the household name on the summary page.

    • Click "Client Portal" to access the administration page. The client's status will say "Pending".

    • Click the share arrow icon.

    • Copy the link

  • Send the New Link: Email the new link to the client with clear instructions.

  • Client Instructions: Instruct the client to:

    1. Click the link you provided.

    2. Click the "Sign In" option. Note: the client already created their Asset-Map account. It is the map you shared that they did not accepted.

    3. Have them log into their account by entering in their username and password.

    4. Click Accept in the Client Portal Invite pop-up window.

This will ensure they can access their household successfully.

What if the client loses their log-in link?

If the client loses their email or the client portal link, guide them to the following login page for assistance:

If they've forgotten their password direct them to that page as well for a reset option.

What can the client view?

The documents below are provided to you to help you help your client navigate their client portal. Take a look to get an idea of what the client sees. They are provided for informational use only.
