Overview
The key to having a great conversation with your client is to place all of their financial inventory on one, simple-rich document: a treasure map. A Household is a "container" that houses people and financial information as well as being a great tool to uncover a lot more.
Procedures
The key steps in making a Household (and Asset-Map) manually are:
Click the Add a Household button
Choose the Manually option

Designate the Type of Household (Client, Prospective, Sample or Stencil)
👉 A "Stencil" is a custom overlay defining groups of financials you desire; a demographic, family situation or work situation. They are comprised of $1 financial tiles. They serve as a reminder to the advisor to ask about these financials and tiles can be edited to reflect what the client says.
👉 A "Sample" is a demonstration household with anonymized information that you create to give to clients, prospects, or for use in group presentatins to introduce them to the Asset-Map process.
👉 A "Prospective" is a household that, in the sales process, is not yet your client, but who will be sharing their information with you. Discovery online fact-finder creates prospective households.
👉 A "Client" has purchased services or products from you.Enter general Household information such as their home address and contact information, as well as specific Member and Legal Entity information.
Then apply financials to the member by using a stencil or by adding invidual financials.
Change the Household Status
The status can be changed at any time from the Household Information page. Access the Household Information page by clicking the blue linked household name at the top of the Asset-Map interface, then clicking Edit next to the household's name on the Summary page.
