Set up your Asset-Map profile

Overview

Taking the time to configure your "User Preferences" is a simple yet powerful step toward creating a truly personalized and professional experience within the Asset-Map Platform. By updating your profile, you ensure that every report reflects your unique brand—complete with your correct contact details and a professional photo. Beyond just aesthetics, these settings allow you to tailor the application’s functionality to your workflow, from setting default currencies and print orientations to managing security with Multi-Factor Authentication. Ultimately, optimizing these preferences empowers you to work more efficiently and present a polished, customized interface to your clients.


Access User Preferences

Click your likeness in the upper right area and choose "User Preferences" from the platform menu.


User Settings Page

Contact information

This information populates your report cover page, your client's client portal login, as well as your Discovery online fact-finder interview.

  • Advisor name: This is the name entered when you subscribed to Asset-Map. this field is locked. Request a name change by emailing support@asset-map.com. This is displayed on the cover page of client facing reports.

  • Credentials suffix: This is displayed on the cover page of client facing reports.

  • Organization name: This is the name entered when you subscribed to Asset-Map. This is displayed on the cover page of client facing reports. This field is locked. Request an organization name change by emailing support@asset-map.com.

  • Organization address: This is displayed on the cover page of client facing reports.

  • Phone number

  • Website: This is displayed on the cover page of client facing reports.

  • Email address: This is the address you supplied when you subscribed. Your email address serves as your log-in to Asset-Map. Changing your email address here will also change your log-in username.

Profile Picture

Your portrait personalizes your client's experience with you. Please select an image that is 2MB maximum size and of JPG or PNG image type. This appears in your Asset-Map environment, your online client-facing Discovery fact-finding interview, and your client's client-portal.

Application Settings

These are default settings that apply to all households.

  • Avatars selector. Choose whether or not you would like to represent gender throughout the application.

  • Household Avatar Subtitle is the age/date-of-birth setting. The availability of this choice is dependent upon your broker-dealer or team manager.

  • Instrument value rounding. The availability of this choice is dependent upon your broker-dealer or team manager.

  • Default Country, Default Currency, Date/Time format

  • Asset-Map Report Print Orientation. Best Fit (platform selects), Portrait, Landscape. Note: High vertical quantities of financials will print in portrait, despite landscape being the default option, due to page size limitations.

  • Default Household Start Page: set this to the Summary page (default) or the Household's Asset-Map page.

Support

To help troubleshoot questions you might have we may ask you to grant support access. You may revoke access from this setting as well.

Manage Deleted Households

Restore deleted households within 30 days of deletion.

Turn on or off system notifications that come to you through email or the bell notification icon located in the upper right area of Asset-Map.


Security Page

Password

You have the option to change your password.

Password requirements:

  • At least 8 characters long

  • Contain at least 1 lower case letter

  • Contain at least 1 Upper case letter

  • Contact at least 1 number

Set up "MFA" through email, SMS, and Authenticator App.

Trusted Devices List

Check the devices that have logged into your account.


Client Portal Page

Create preferred permission sets that include the specific pages you want your clients to access via their Client Portal. This permission set will appear in the selector when you generate a client portal link. Please note that this feature may not be accessible to all subscribers, as it depends on their organization's policies.


Customizations (if made available by your firm)

These customizations are not available for every user. Your firm may provide you with the permission to change the following options in your specific log-in:

  • Report disclosure

  • Report disclaimer

  • DBA logo

  • Discovery Disclaimer

  • Discovery redirect URL

  • Enabling the Discovery Inbound link
