Overview

The "Presentation Mode" is a feature designed for financial advisors to enhance client meetings, whether they are in person or through screen sharing. This feature allows advisors to enter a "conversation mode," which helps create a more focused and secure environment during discussions with clients.

The main goal of Presentation Mode is to give advisors greater control over the conversation. This allows them to prepare client information in advance while deciding when to display it. It also prevents clients from seeing advisors search for their households, which can be distracting.

Steps to hold an online or live client meeting

  1. ๐Ÿ  Open the household in advance of the meeting.

  2. To avoid distractions from anything else, click the Presentation mode icon.

  3. Click the logo at the top of the screen to place the map or report in Privacy Screen mode.

  4. Prepare your client by reviewing goals for today's meeting.

  5. Click anywhere on the screen to remove the privacy screen, revealing the client's report.

  6. Click the marker tool or press CTRL (command)+M to turn on the marker and start drawing on the map. Focus on which financial(s) you want to address by circling them or drawing an arrow. Click "X" on your keyboard to remove the marks. Continue focusing on other conversation topics. Review this resource to become a Marker champ.

The Presentation mode, privacy screen and marker all work together on every page of the client's household.

Benefits

Using Presentation Mode offers several advantages:

1. Reduce Distractions: By eliminating unnecessary screen elements, advisors can keep the meeting focused on what matters most.

2. Boost Advisor Confidence: Advisors can share and interact with clients more comfortably in real time, knowing that the screen is streamlined.

3. Enhance Data Security: This mode minimizes the risk of accidental navigation errors or unintended search results, protecting sensitive client information.

How to Use Presentation Mode

To enter Presentation Mode, open a household and simply click on the icon in the top navigation bar. This action will change your screen to Full Screen Mode. In this mode, most elements on the header bar will be hidden, except for:

  • Household Name

  • Marker Tool

  • Icon to exit Presentation Mode

The following items will be hidden:

  • Households

  • Search

  • Support

  • Notifications

  • Platform Menu (found by clicking the advisor's likeness in the upper right area)

Privacy Screen

When you click on the logo at the top of the screen in Presentation mode, it will no longer take you to the Asset-Map home screen. Instead, it will activate a "Privacy Screen." This screen will obscure everything below the header bar with a blurry white overlay, making it clear that the Asset-Map platform is still there, but nothing is readable. The only visible elements will be:

  • Client Name

  • Marker Tool

  • Logo (either Asset-Map or your firm's logo, if you are an Elite user)

  • Icon to exit Presentation Mode

To exit the Privacy Screen and return to Presentation Mode, simply click anywhere on the screen.

Session Continuity

If Presentation Mode was active when your browser session ended or closed, you will receive a prompt to continue where you left off the next time you log in. By selecting โ€œClick to Return,โ€ you will go back to the household in Presentation Mode. If you click the "X," you will return to the standard home page.

Shortcut Keys

To make using Presentation Mode even easier, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Ctrl + Shift + F: Enter or exit Presentation Mode

  • Ctrl + Shift + Space: Enter or exit Privacy Screen

By utilizing Presentation Mode and the Privacy Screen, financial advisors can create a more effective and secure environment for client meetings, ensuring that discussions remain focused on what is important.
