πŸ‘‰ Quick Note: Client Asset-Maps cannot be updated using Discovery. Discovery is used for fact-finding, making new Households and Maps only.

Discovery is Asset-Map's consumer-friendly online interview that helps advisors gather financial information from prospects. When the prospect completes the questionnaire a Household and corresponding Asset-Map is created within the Advisor's book of business (Household Index).

It can also be used to easily create an Asset-Map for current clients who do not yet have one. Discovery cannot be used for ongoing updates after the Asset-Map is created. Current Asset-Maps cannot be updated using Discovery.

This article walks through the features of the Discovery Administration page.

Access

Access the administration page in one of three ways:

  • Click the Discovery button on the Asset-Map dashboard page.

  • Select the Discovery option from the platform drop-down menu found under the Advisor's name in the upper right area.

  • Click the Add Household button and choose Discovery "Get Started".

Features

Create a Household's Invitation Link (Outbound)

  • Create a Discovery Interview invitation link using our Outbound tool to send to a prospect. Click the "Initiate Interview" button after typing the Recipient's name and selecting the preferred currency. This creates a client's interview link. You can then decide how to utilize the client's link, usually by including it in your email to the prospect or client.

Post your Inbound Link

  • Optionally, use the Inbound Link. The Inbound Link is your public personal link which you can use in various ways.

    • Copy your link (click the "Copy" icon) and attach it to outbound marketing emails, attach it to a webpage button, or save it as a desktop shortcut on a mobile device to start a new Discovery as needed (great for waiting rooms).

    • Start the interview now by clicking the Open Link arrow button.

    • Or generate and use the QR code of your link by clicking the QR icon.

    • If you do not have the inbound link available, and your organization has authorized its use, consider upgrading your subscription.

(Please check with your firm's compliance department for any restrictions.)
