Import member information into Asset-Map

Overview

Holistiplan imports client information creating an Asset-Map household that links directly to the client's Holistiplan page, enabling the advisor to view key tax figures from a tax report generated by Holistiplan.

Benefits

The integration of Asset-Map and Holistiplan enhances client conversations and strengthens the advisor-client relationship. Asset-Map offers clear, visual insights into a client's financial situation, while Holistiplan serves as a robust platform for tax-related discussions.

With Holistiplan, advisors can easily upload their clients' tax returns and quickly generate a customized tax planning report in just seconds. This seamless process enriches conversational planning by incorporating tax discussions from within Asset-Map Platform. Additionally, advisors can utilize the insights from Holistiplan to refine the Target-Map Loss to Taxes values, further enhancing the planning experience.


Enable Within Holistiplan FIRST

Prior to enabling the integration in Asset-Map, the user must confirm or request that their Holistiplan 'Firm Administrator' has enabled Asset-Map as an 'available integration option'. Holistiplan Integration options can be enabled/disabled for the Firm under "SETTINGS->Integrations" in Holistiplan.

Once enabled within Holistiplan, proceed to the following functions:


Import One or Multiple Households

  1. Connect Holistiplan from the Integrations page.

  2. Use the Create Household button to begin the import process.

  3. Select Holistiplan as the desired importing integration.

  4. Search your Holistiplan contacts by clicking the magnifying glass icon.

  5. Click import adjacent to the desired contact.

  6. Click view to open the imported Household and Asset-Map.


Connect an Asset-Map Member Directly to a Holistiplan Contact

Note: only member information is imported.


From within an Asset-Map household, migrate to the Holistiplan integration page. Search for a client name. Connect them to a current member or make a new member using the drop-down menu.

Next steps could include:

  • View the client's Holistiplan tax page by clicking the Holistiplan tab in the client's edit window;

  • Apply a stencil (like the Integrations Stencil) and complete what you know;

  • Add individual financials manually;

  • Or connect another integration to the household that imports account data.


Synchronization Options

Synchronize data from a number of places in the Household in Asset-Map Platform.

  • Right-click (alt click) on the Asset-Map Report page.

  • From the Member's edit window, Holistiplan tab.

  • From the Actions Menu.

  • From the Detail page of the Household.


Set up a Household in Asset-Map Directly from Holistiplan

  1. Open Holistiplan and connect with Asset-Map.

  2. Connect Holistiplan from the Integrations page within Asset-Map.

  3. In Holstiplan, search for and open the client.

  4. Click the client's Asset-Map Connections icon.

  5. This will open an Asset-Map page to import from Holistiplan. Click Import.

*Note: The household created by this integration is dependent upon the quality and accuracy of the data entered at the source. Generally, good and accurate data will result in a successful import into Asset-Map Platform.

*Note: Accessing Asset-Map from multiple browsers could affect integration tokens causing a sync failure error. Please use one browser or disconnect and reconnect the integration from the Integrations page within Asset-Map to refresh the token.

*Note: Asset-Map Platform cannot support chain linking (linking of other platforms prior to importing into Asset-Map).
