Two reasons why financial instruments are highlighted in yellow:

  1. The asset is under a different controller (also known as Grantor or Custodian) than the interested member.
  2. The asset, while placed on a Legal Entity is linked to appear on the interested member.

Assets Under a Different Controller

Assets that are highlighted in yellow on the Asset-Map have a different controller than the person marked as the Interested Member. For example: The Education Fund set aside for dependent Marie is controlled by Bob, her father.

The asset is shown and counted on the interested member, not on the controller.

Set the custodian on the Details tab.

Link assets on a legal entity to a member.

The value of the asset will count towards the worth of both the legal entity and the family member on the Asset-Map Report...

...but will not be double-counted on the Household's Balance Sheet Report.
