Target-Maps can be used to illustrate a number of funding situations. Here's short list of the more popular scenarios.

Downsize of Home

In this video we illustrate how you can model a Downsize of Home. In this example selling off a primary residence during retirement, using the proceeds of sale to purchase a smaller home, taking the surplus and investing into an account.

Handling Age Gaps

In this video we demonstrate how you can handle age gaps within Target-Maps. This can be important for capturing expenses and survivor benefits appropriately.

Layering in a Long Term Care Event During Retirement

In addition to running an individual Target-Map for LTC to assess needs, see how you can layer a LTC event into other evaluations - in this example we showcase a LTC event during Retirement.

Lump-Sum Pension vs. Pension Payout Over Time

In this video, we showcase how you can show a Lump-Sum Pension vs. Pension Payout Over Time.

Multiple Education Expenses

Whether you are working to show multiple forms of education for one dependent (private middle school, private high school, college, etc) or education for multiple dependents - this video covers how to illustrate within an Education Target-Map.

Offsetting Education Expenses with Loans, Scholarships, etc.

Saving for a Large Purchase or Event

In this video, we cover how you can calculate how much your clients would need to save in order to achieve their Purchase or Event by their desired date.

Tiered Expenses

Here is how you can illustrate different expenses during specific time periods. For example, in this video we showcase tiered living expenses during retirement (Go Go years, Slow Go years, No Go years).

Tiered Income Distributions

In the video we illustrate how you can show tiered income distributions. For example, if you have a product which has its distribution amount changes every 10 years.

Target-Map Notes

This feature could be helpful to keep track of your changes, provide action items for your team or your client, or describe the thinking behind the specific Target-Map.

By design, Target-Maps are independent from one another. Funding used by one Target-Map is not automatically removed from other Target-Maps.
