Using Notes in a Meeting
Notes are a powerful tool during client reviews. You may access the dedicated Notes Page to guide your conversation, or click the elements or Target-Maps individually on the Asset-Map.
Access the Notes Page: From the Household view, click the Notes icon (found in the side navigation menu) to see a consolidated list of all notes for that household.
Review Action Items: Use this view to run through a checklist of tasks or questions you prepared earlier.
Live Updates: You can edit notes directly from this page during the meeting as the client answers questions or provides updates, ensuring your data is captured immediately.
How to Create and Edit Notes
Notes are attached to specific elements within a Household (e.g., a Member, financial instrument, Legal instrument) as well as Target-Maps.
Navigate to the desired Household.
Select an Element: Click on an existing tile (Asset, Insurance, etc.), Member or Legal instrument to edit it, or add a new element. Or, access a desired Target-Map's Notes.
Open Notes: Click the "Notes" tab or icon on the edit window.
Enter Text: Type your notes. You can use the formatting toolbar to add bullet points, bold text, color font, or headers.
Save: Click Update to save your changes.
Tip: You can return to this tab at any time to view, edit, or clear notes. To clear a note, simply delete the text or use the "x" on the formatting toolbar.
How to Print Notes
There are two ways to print or export your notes, depending on your needs.
Method A: Quick PDF Export (Internal Use) Best for a quick backup or a cheat sheet for yourself.
Navigate to the Notes Page (via the Notes icon).
Click the PDF icon located on this page.
This will instantly generate an independent electronic version (PDF) of your notes for you to save or print.
Method B: Client-Facing Reports Best for formal presentations or meeting leave-behinds.
Navigate to the Reports page for the household.
Select your desired report options.
Ensure "Notes" is included in the report selection to print them as part of the comprehensive Asset-Map Report.
Currently, all notes are presented. One cannot include or exclude notes for specific elements.

Using Notes in Asset-Map helps you centralize client information and streamline your workflow.
Organization: Keep all client-specific details, such as financial nuances, legal context, or personal goals, attached directly to their respective assets or members and Target-Maps.
Task Management: Create to-do lists for yourself, your admin, or your client to ensure follow-through on action items.
Efficiency: Use notes within Stencils to automatically add standard fact-finding questions or checklists to stencil tiles, saving you typing time during meeting prep.
Compliance & Memory: Document "why" a specific decision was made or log important reminders for future reviews.
