Importing other family members
When you initially import a household the primary and spouse will import. Only after the initial import, the advisor will have the ability within the household to sync/link additional subaccounts (such as children).
Users can import additional household members under the main Primary and Spouse by accessing the eMoney page within the household. Click the household name in the upper left, click "Edit" then the "eMoney" tab.
If there are any existing linked members for that household on eMoney, those additional members will automatically display under results. From here users can manually import those members into the household by selecting the “Import” option.
Apply Stencil
Importing households only applies the financials that are in eMoney. There are likely a number of other items in their financial closet. To facilitate the conversation about all of their financials try applying the Integrations Stencil. (Learn more here: All about Stencils)
Entities and Business Interests in eMoney are not imported
What emoney specifically categorizes as "Entities" (individuals & charities) as well as "Business Interests" (S-Corps, C-Corps, LLCs, etc...) are not accessible at this time.
Trusts do import information.
Import to Create Multiple Households

⭐ Connect a Member within a Household
You may have created a household in Asset-Map by some other means and you'd like to connect the client to eMoney. Here are the steps to connect individuals to eMoney contacts.
1. Access the Household's eMoney Integration page (not the Asset-Map Platform Integrations page):
Click the household's name (upper left)
click "Edit"
click eMoney tab.
2. Search the name of the contact: Enter the client's name into the search field.
3. Connect the client and import their information: Click "Import" on the appropriate contact(s).
Roles in eMoney are Important
When you connect an existing household to eMoney the following message is displayed:
"Importing will attempt to automatically link to existing household members based on roles. If no matching member exists then a new one will be created."
Sometimes, duplicates are created if it doesn't register the matching roles. If duplicates arise you can determine which to delete.
Note: To disconnect a Member, click the "Unlink" icon on the eMoney page within the Household.

Click the client's avatar on the Asset-Map. While on the Sidebar click the eMoney tab. If Sidebar is deactivated click the eMoney tab on the client's information pop-up page that appears in the middle of the webpage.
View Financial Information
View additional financial information directly from eMoney while on the Sidebar or in the middle of the Asset-Map report. Click the financial on the map and click the eMoney tab.
The financial tile will display either the holdings company that is listed in eMoney, or the name "eMoney" if none is listed on the account in eMoney.
Editable Fields in Asset-Map
All fields can be edited in Asset-Map except for the dollar value field on the Essentials page and the "Data Imported" date field on the Details tab. They will be gray in color and a lock icon is visible. The "Data Imported" date field changes upon sync only if the dollar value has changed.
How the Location Field Interacts with the eMoney Institution Name
Completing the "INSTITUTION NAME" field within the eMoney platform before importing to Asset-Map is important as it populates the "Location" information on the second line of the Asset-Map Report financial.
Please remember that the "INSTITUTION NAME" is the second question for every instrument entered in eMoney. Most often this field is located within the "ADVANCED" tab for each instrument.
Updating the institution name after importing to Asset-Map does not import the institution name upon sync. The only fields that synchronize are the dollar value field and the data update field on the Details page of the financial. Therefore, the advisor may want to update the Asset-Map tile manually. Lastly, the Institution/Location field does not exist for eMoney INCOME entries.

*Note: The household created by this integration is dependent upon the quality and accuracy of the data entered at the source. Generally, good and accurate data will result in a successful import into Asset-Map Platform.
*Note: Synchronizing Asset-Map and eMoney with different browsers may produce unexpected results, such as failing to sync within a browser. Please utilize the same browser.
*Note: Asset-Map does not support chain-linking (importing from one financial tool into a compatible partner then into Asset-Map as this involves data feeds that are out of our control.)
