Filters are a Powerful Household Index Tool!

Filters are a powerful tool that can help you manage your Household Index. By applying filters, you can quickly and easily sort through your data to find the information you need. In this article, we'll explain how to apply filters to your Household Index Layouts menu and provide some tips for using them effectively.

Please remember, the more information you enter on Essential and Details pages of financials the more useful your Household Index becomes!

What are Filters?

Filters are a feature to allow you to sort through your Household Index based on specific criteria. They work by hiding data that doesn't meet the criteria you've set, making it easier to find the information you need. Filters can be applied and saved to your Household Index Layouts menu for reuse.

How to Apply Filters to Your Household Index

  1. Click the Filter button.

  2. Select a column to filter by.

  3. Apply an operator (greater than, less than, equals, etc.).

  4. Enter a dollar value, age, or percentage.

  5. Add other filters in the same way as desired.

  6. Use the "Save As" feature to save your filter with a name for future use.

Use the filter menu to apply filters with multiple criteria to help you scan through your client list. You can optionally save the filters to your Household Layouts menu for future application.

How to Save Household Index Layouts

Store your filters for later use! A useful tip is to display the columns you filtered by using the Columns selector. Feel free to add or remove columns as needed. Utilize the Save/Save As menu to name your household index filters and column combinations, allowing you to revisit your report periodically to refine your focus.

Community Suggested Filters

The following filters are provided by Household Index champions! They are only suggestions and may not be applicable to your situation. Remember, the more information you enter on a financial's essentials and details pages the more impactful the Household Index may become. Please enter your own values to fine tune your results to your client base.

A couple of fine-tuning tips

  • Hide the "Status" and "Linked" columns, as well as any other unneeded columns.

Retirement Oriented

πŸ” HENRYs (High Earners Not Rich Yet)

Filter: Annual Income > $100,000 AND Assets < $30,000 AND Primary Age < 40

  • Net Worth > 250,000
