The Asset-Map Sidebar is like a highly accessible multi-tool for your client meetings, designed to keep the conversation moving. You can use these applets to instantly update a client’s financial picture or run "what-if" scenarios right as they’re talking. Whether you’re adding a new house they just bought, ensuring you understand their priorities, checking if their insurance is sufficient, or adjusting their retirement goals, the Sidebar lets you make those changes live on the screen. This makes your client meeting feel like a collaborative brainstorm, showing your clients that you’re really listening and can adapt their plan the at the moments their life changes.

Usage

Enable/Activate Sidebar

From the right-click (command-click) menu, click Toggle Visibility, then click Sidebar.

Open and Close Sidebar Applets

  • Click the arrow in the lower right area of the map to open or close the Sidebar applets.

    • When visible, editing/viewing financials and members occurs in the Sidebar.

    • Collapse the applets by clicking the arrow at the bottom of the Sidebar. When collapsed, editing/viewing financials and members returns to the middle of the screen.

  • Select the desired Sidebar applet to display relevant information.

  • Collapse the Sidebar by clicking the close icon ("X") in the upper right area of the Sidebar.

Please note: when Sidebar is open, the Search and Select tool becomes inactive.

Sidebar Focus Mode

When Sidebar applets are displayed, clicking on members, entities, and instruments (such as legal and financial instruments) on the map will open them in the Sidebar work area. At this point, the member or instrument is in focus, while the Asset-Map is not. To return the focus to the Asset-Map, simply click on the member or instrument on the map again or close the Sidebar workspace using the X in the upper right area.

Sidebar Troubleshooting and Questions

Sidebar Overlaps Tiles

Though the financials are still present, the Sidebar may overlap them if the browser's magnification (zoom) level is higher than 100%. Try zooming out to 100%. Also, try collapsing the left-side navigation menu.

How do I edit financials in the middle of the screen instead of in Sidebar (the "old" way")?

Don't want to edit financials and members off to the side? Simply close the Sidebar applet bar by clicking the arrow at the bottom of the Sidebar. But don't forget that there are other exciting engagement options on the Sidebar. So, open it back up again when you're ready to supercharge your engagement with your clients without needing to leave the map.
