Reorder Financials on an Asset-Map Report

Limited ability to organize financials

Written by Michael Schwabe

Though you cannot drag and drop financial instruments into a preferred order, Asset-Map does allow for some arranging. Here are a few things to know to see financials displayed in a preferred order on the Asset-Map Report:

1. The order of financials is first determined by import linked, then by type within a group of financials (cash flow of type social security, cash flow of type earned, or asset by type non-retirement, etc), then location/soure/carrier field by alpha-numeric naming, and lastly by decreasing value.

2. To re-order assets in a specific area on the map (i.e.: Retirement assets, Income assets, Insurance assets, Non-retirement assets, Liabilities, and Residences) please number or alphabetize the right text field of the financial (usually Location, Source/Purpose, Carrier).

The financials will appear in order based upon import status, type, then by 2nd text field starting with A or 1, then dollar value.

In the example below, "A" in "Another Bank" is placed above "W" in Which Bank?

Another example could be using numbers in the 2nd field.
