Reorder Financials on an Asset-Map Report

Moving financial instruments around is currently not a feature, however, with proper naming financial instruments can be rearranged.

Though you cannot drag and drop financial instruments into a preferred order, Asset-Map does allow for some rearranging. Here are a few things to know to see financials displayed in a preferred order on the Asset-Map Report:

1. The order of financials is first determined by type within a group of financials, then location by alpha-numeric naming, and lastly by decreasing value. Here are the types of financials and their locations on a map:

  • Income instruments will appear at the top left or right of the members.

  • Insurance Financial Instruments will appear above the household members.

  • Retirement instruments will appear below income assets.

  • Non-retirement instruments will appear below retirement assets, followed by Residence and liabilities.

  • Cash Value insurance assets will appear below non-retirement assets.

  • Joint instruments appear below a couple and behave the same way as above.

2. To re-order assets in a specific category (i.e.: Retirement assets, Income assets, Insurance assets, Non-retirement assets, Liabilities, and Residences) please number or alphabetize the 2nd text field of the financial. The financials will appear in order based upon type, then 2nd text field starting with A or 1, then dollar value.

In the example below, "A" in "Another Bank" is placed above "W" in Which Bank?
