Overview

A Stencil is a template of placeholder tiles representing assets, insurances, liabilities and incomes. Applying a stencil to a household cuts the time it takes for making maps. It allows you to show your clients what their peer group could potentially have, or can be used as hand-out fact finders for clients to overwrite the tiles with their own financial information. You may edit each financial live by clicking on a stencil tile, modifying the data and Saving the information. Stencil tiles appear grey and become colorized when saved to the map.

Description

The Building Blocks Stencil is designed to apply specific "conversations" to one member or entity of a household. In this reference, a conversation is a subset of financials around the conversation topic. The variety of topics include the following:

  • Income sources

  • Residence + Mortgage

  • Non-Retirement Accts

  • College Savings Plans

  • Retirement Plans

  • Liabilities + Debts

  • Life Insurance Policies

  • Disabilities Policies

  • Long-term Care Policies

  • Personal Property Casualty

  • Employer Benefits Plans

  • Tangible Assets

  • Business Policies

  • Business Property Casualty

Application

  1. Open the Apply Stencil tool.

  2. Select Building Block Stencil from the menu.

  3. Choose the "No" option on Apply to entire household.

  4. Select the preferred conversation to apply.

  5. Choose the member or entity to apply the conversation.

Apply conversations when information is lacking on a map. Be proactive in bringing up topics that can be overlooked.
