Overview

File Storage Integrations with Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box allow Asset-Map users the ability store and retrieve files within the Household in Asset-Map. Additionally, these integrations allow new files to be posted to designated file locations within each of the file storage partners.

Enable File Storage Integration(s)

To enable a File Storage integration, navigate to your Integrations page within the Asset Map Platform.

Activate the file storage integration of choice from the integration listings on the Integrations page.

Enter your credentials for the selected integration and choose to authorize or sign in to complete the connection.

Connect and Manage Storage on a Household

Manage the Household's files and file storage from the Household's Summary page. Once enabled, the option to connect a file storage server will be provided on the summary page. Once connected, you have the ability to upload files and view files. You can also download files with the exception of Google Drive from the Summary page. For downloading from Google Drive open the drive in a different window on your computer.

To delete a file, disconnect the integration from Asset-Map and head over to the file storage software to delete the file.

Upload and Manage Specific Financials within the Household Folder

After enabling the File Storage integration Asset-Map will create a folder in the user’s File Storage account titled “Asset-Map”.

Click the Financial Instrument to reveal its edit window and click the file storage option to see this option. This could be great for saving statements for specific financials within its designated folder.

When enabled for a Member or an instrument, a new folder will be created for the Member or instrument that will be named after the Member or instrument.

Here is an example of a resulting file structure:
