Overview
ByAllAccounts is a data aggregation hub allowing the planner to connect data feed sources with Asset-Map. This facilitates meaningful conversations by pulling in valuable financial information to a client's household through integration instead of manually creating the financials on the client's Asset-Map.
The planner must have a ByAllAcounts subscription as well as access to the desired data feed source.
ByAllAccounts will pull only data at a financial instrument level. It will not import household member information.
Enable ByAllAccounts Integration
Enablement is by request. Please reach out to Asset-Map Support (support@asset-map.com or via in-app chat) to make ByAllAccounts available for your account.
Connect to ByAllAccounts
Once ByAllAccounts (BAA) has been enabled by Support a Morningstar/BAA panel will be available on the Integrations Management page. Access the page by clicking your likeness in the upper right area and selecting Integrations from the drop menu.
Click Activate on the BAA panel to begin the process. This will direct you to the BAA-Asset-Map landing page with the currently available data feeds to connect to. Each data feed may be a little different in setup from within BAA's environment, depending on the data feed source. Please reach out to the data feed source or BAA for support.
Importing Information and Updates
Once connection has been established with BAA perform the following steps to connect a household member to their financials:
Open the desired household.
Click ByAllAccounts on the household's Summary page.
Search BAA by entering a string of characters and clicking the Search magnifying glass icon.
Select the desired financials to be imported from the resultant table by clicking the checkbox aligned with the instrument(s).
Choose which member in Asset-Map to import to using the Import to drop menu.
These steps will create linked financial instruments on the desired member's avatar. Once linked, moving forward advisors may sync with BAA using any number of methods within Asset-Map. One of the most common sycning methods is by right-clicking (command-click) on the client's Asset-Map and selecting the Integrations menu option. Syncing will display BAA's morning feed values. BAA updates once a day. Therfore, syncing in Asset-Map will only display the values given to BAA at that morning's feed.
Note: After a planner links their data source partner with BAA, it will take 1 business day for the information to flow into AssetMap. Data will be provided from BAA only once a day when manually sync'd by the advisor.
The Asset-Map View
Financial instruments created by BAA will display a link icon on the Asset-Map. Opening the instrument (clicking the financial tile) to view the instrument information will display the information imported by BAA. Some fields will be gray and locked. These fields can only be updated upon sync. Other fields can be edited by the advisor to make the instrument more descriptive for the client if desired.
*Note: unlinking the specific family member from BAA will remove those tiles as well as any edits made on that financial.
Questions and Answers
Q. I integrated ByAllAccounts and imported financials but now I have two tiles representing the same thing, why?
A. Asset-Map does not link financials that have already been entered onto the Asset-Map. Rather it creates new financials. Delete the redundant financials as you see fit and retain the linked ByAllAccounts financials.
