Overview of Advisor Role Management
When an advisor is terminated or their role changes, it is important to handle their associated households appropriately. Asset-Map allows you to manage these transitions without losing household data.
Steps for Unchecking an Advisor
If an advisor has households that need to be retained or transferred:
Navigate to the advisor's profile in the Asset-Map application.
Go to the Membership Tab.
Uncheck the Advisor Box instead of deleting the advisor's profile. This action ensures that the households remain linked to the advisor in the database.
Guidelines for Household Transfers
When to Transfer Households: Transfer households only if another advisor requires active access to those clients.
When Not to Transfer Households: If no other advisor needs access, you can simply uncheck the advisor box. The households will remain in the database linked to the original advisor.
